Vintage 1950's Andy Gard Remote Control Armored Truck Piggy Bank w/ Motor Powered Steering

This is a vintage 1950's Andy Gard remote control Armored Truck Piggy Bank with motor powered steering by General Molds & Plastics, model #82-20. It is battery operated, and comes with its original box. This one is a little different from the other ones in this line, as it doubles as a piggy bank! Insert coins into the top slot, and twist open the plug on the bottom to retrieve them. It requires 2x 'standard flashlight' batteries to operate (not included), and was made in Pennsylvania, USA. These are getting harder & harder to find, especially in their original box!

CONDITION: EXCELLENT. Battery compartment is clean, although it does not power on. Size 'D' batteries were tried, but I'm not sure what the problem is. The original box is included, and is in very good condition for being 70 years old. Neat & complete! Actual pictures shown, please view the photos and judge for yourself. Sold AS-IS.
